Herbwalk in my garden
During the 1 1/2 hour walk the students will be shown some of the over 600 different medicinal plant collections in our garden. Our highlights will be based on the requirement of the lecturer in accompaniment. Eg. if the students are in the hotel catering course then our theme will be on the culiniary herbs we have available in our garden. We will taylor the walk to suit the needs of the students.

Herbwalk in the Rainforest
The students will be taken on a hike into the rainforest of the foothills of Gunung Raya. Along the way they will be shown the various trees and herbs as we encounter them and will be told of the ethnobotanical uses of the plants. The walk will last for two hours with a short break by a waterfall for a breather. There will be three guides to ensure the safety of the students. The walk can also be taylored to the needs of the specific student group as defined by the accompanying lecturer.

Cruise in the Mangrove Swamp
The mangrove tour will take two hours and we have chosen to take the students on a wooden perahu used by local fishermen. This slow cruise on the river will take the students into the depth of the mangrove swamp to demostrate the values of preserving the mangrove and the value of sustainable harvesting of the mangrove swamp. We will stop for a breather at an abundoned charcoal kiln to demonstrate how charcoal was made. Again we can taylor make the tour to suit the needs of the individual group.
